Co-Founder & Principal
Adam Barzilay is a founding Principal at Arrowroot Real Estate. Mr. Barzilay is focused on all aspects of deal sourcing, deal structuring, business plan development and capital raising.
Prior to joining Arrowroot Real Estate, Mr. Barzilay was a Partner at MJW Investments for 5 years and spearheaded the expansion of the company's student housing portfolio from a few hundred beds to over 5,000, ranking the firm among the top 25 largest owners of student housing in the country. He also played a key role in the management and operations of MJW's real estate investments including the purchase of several value ad apartment properties in Southern California.
Before joining MJW Investments, Mr. Barzilay was a Senior Vice President at Toll Brothers Inc. and was responsible for the project management, sales and construction for both the San Diego and Los Angeles Home Building Divisions. Mr. Barzilay sourced and led due diligence on over $150 million in new land investments throughout Southern California. Before moving to the Los Angeles area, Mr. Barzilay held a variety of management positions at Toll Brothers City Living Division.
Mr. Barzilay started his career as a Financial Analyst in Credit Suisse's Real Estate Fixed Income Division. He has a MDesS in Real Estate Development from Harvard University and a MCP and BA in City Planning and Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
